On-Site At The Prida Formation Fossil Locality, Nevada

Looking roughly northwest to the world-famous Middle Triassic Prida Formation ammonoid locality in Nevada; note the poorly exposed limestones near the summit of the hill--fossiliferous limestones that are often packed with abundant ammonoid, belemnite and pelecypod shells. Many fossililiferous blocks of limestone can be found along the flanks of the hill, as well.
