Mostly complete salterella shells embedded on a shaly limestone from the Lower Cambrian Harkless Formation, Gold Point fossil zone. Such remarkable concentrations of salterella are characteristic of several thin limestone layers in the Harkless Formation exposed throughout Esmeralda County, Nevada; specimens range in actual size from roughly six to eight millimeters in length.
