The view is slightly west of north to exposures of the Middle Pliocene San Joaquin Formation, Middle Dome area, Kettleman Hills, California. San Joaquin strata in middle ground belong to the Neverita Zone, which here produces abundant beautifully preserved gastropods of the Neverita reclusiana variety. |
